Mesmerizing and fascinating, sharks are amazing creatures. Electroreception allows sharks to notice changes in saltwater electricity conduction. Blood changes conductivity and sharks can smell it Sharks respond to an infrasonic sound that injured fish make, drawing sharks to an easy meal. Sharks' livers contain lots of oil which makes the liver a relatively buoyant organ. This helps sharks keep their balance in the water. (Shark facts from The Discovery Channel.)
The underwater world is a kaleidoscope of colors and shapes that dazzle, mesmerize and surprise. The picturesque ocean and its inhabitants are amazing, beautiful and captivating. My desire is to educate and inspire others to respect and protect our oceans by giving them a glimpse into the mysterious domain of the deep, blue sea.
